In the last decade, we have seen fascinating technical advances in algorithms for processing large amount of data and, as a result, providing better user experience. In mobile multimedia research group, we focus on implementation of state-of-the-art data processing algorithms on mobile platforms such as smartphones and IoT devices. Due to their innate highly constrained power budget, we are exploring various design approaches ranging from algorithm optimization to circuit design to maximize energy efficiency of the system, which is a key in building next-generation multimedia mobile systems.
